It 'd be perfect if the required validation works.

How has anyone got this to work? The source code barely builds and then multiple exceptions are thrown when trying to use the field type. [sigh - Update] Solved. Don't let VS explicitly implement the interface for the IFieldEditor control.

This release could'nt achieve the excellent rating because of a couple of things: If you plase the cascaded fields from donwside to up in the edit form, then it won't work. Plus, this code has not best practices like SPRequest.Dispose() , which has an impact on performance. Furthermore, it could use SPQuery's ViewFields Attribute to increase peformance and lower the overhead.
